Creamy Fruit Mold

(hits: 2030 )
Serves 12 to 15 servings
Entered/Updated 2006-11-11 01:23:45
Country/Provence not provided
Ingredients:
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 cup water
1 (14-oz.) can condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1 (16-oz.) container sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (1/2 pint) whipping cream, whipped
2 cups assorted fresh or canned fruit (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, etc.)
Additional fresh or canned fruit, optional
Instructions:
In small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over water; let stand one minute. Over low heat, cook until gelatin dissolves, about five minutes; set aside. In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Fold in whipped cream and fruit. Pour fruit mixture into lightly-oiled 1/2-quart mold. Chill four hours or until set. Unmold onto plate; garnish with additional fruit if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
