Added by Kelly Smith USA, CA
Ingredients:
1 LB Ground Beef
1 Lg. Onion chopped up or thinly sliced is better
1 Tablespoon oil (I like sunflower oil)
2 Cloves Garlic crushed
2 Tablespoons Chili powder
1/2 Cup Ketchup
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Cup water
1/2Tablespoon Cayenne pepper if you like it hot
Several dashes of your favorite hot sauce (I like Tabasco)
1 7 Oz. can of Corn (not creamed, Yech!)
1 15 Oz. Can of Ranch style Pinto beans with Jalapenos
1 15 oz can of stewed tomatoes
1 15-oz can of diced yellow tomatoes
Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions:
Saut? the onions & Garlic in the oil until clear. Add the ground beef and simmer until brown.
Drain the beef and add the spices and the Worcestershire and simmer a few minutes until the beef absorbs most of the liquid.
Add the tomatoes, Ketchup, corn, and hot sauce.
Let it cook until it gets kind of thick then add the water and beans.
Once this thickens up the way you like it is ready to eat.
Notes:
Make sure you leave the tent flaps open when you bed down for the night. The leftovers are great with scrambled eggs in the morning.
