With suprising speed, Terry Brooks quickly assumes the role of a veteran story teller. His descriptions of the battles raging for chapters are very nearly the best of any writer in print. Brooks manages to walk the fine line between the tedious and the succent, giving the reader all the infomation they need without overwhelming them.
