Belgarath the Sorcerer (Author: David Eddings)

This novel steps completely out of the norm for Eddings. By the end of this book, I know quite a few people who were really getting annoyed at the mention of the phrase 'Anyway....' I can't really say that I blame them, but I think they were missing most of the point to the phrase. Anyway, I must say that for all the hyping that Belgarath does about his story telling abilities, there were parts of this book that I found myself reading through only because I knew what was going to happen. It seemed to drag on just a wee bit in places, but I have to admit that he did not underdevelop any plots that I could see.
Addiction Rating: 3.5, Overall Rating: 3.5.
