The cat and mouse chase that has been leading all over the world is a wonderfull backdrop for Eddings' exploration of emotional, mental and physical limits of the human being. OK, so I'm exaggerating. But you have to admit, the way his characters react in any situation is exactly the way you would think they would. This speaks VOLUMES for his incredible ability to capture the character on paper.
