reference, such as might be made to Huey Long or Teapot Dome. (For those even younger than I, Huey Long (1893-1935) was a demagogic governor of Louisiana that was assassinated. Teapot Dome refers to a government scandal involving oil leases in California and Wyoming that occurred during the administration of Warren G. Harding in the 1920s.)
Black Monday 1987 is as significant to them as the Great Depression.
